Reed was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2020 before attending the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia later that year. There is where she discovered her passion for criminal justice, and from that moment on, knew she could do nothing else.Reed attended the Nova Institute for women while attending and assisted individuals with navigating the grievance system. For the last two years of law school, she participated in a pro bono project that assisted individuals serving their sentence attain proper dental care. During her summers, she assisted Professor Archibald Kaiser with research specific to criminal law. Reed graduated in 2023 with a Juris Doctor degree as well as a certificate of criminal justice, awarded for a courseload that focused on criminal law.Reed articled with Brodsky, Amy & Gould where she gained an even more fulsome understanding of criminal law. She was called to the bar in 2024 and has joined Smith, Corona, Cook & Munce as a criminal defence lawyer. Reed’s deep-rooted values and her passion for defence means she will fight tirelessly for your rights and to get you the best possible outcome.
